View Tabular Output

Once you have created a WeedCast input file left click the "View Output" button to display the emergence forecasts. This button is found on the main WeedCast page.

View Output

WeedCast output is displayed in a spreadsheet format. The first six rows consist of the input properties that were used to produce the forecasts: Site Name, Last Year's Crop, Tillage System, Soil Type, Soil Water Content, and the Original Weather File.

This is the tabular output window:

Tabular Output Properties

In short, it contains the raw data for the simulation run. Changeable fields are in yellow, while the other numbers have been calculated for the specific settings of the run.

Tip: WeedCast allows you to change input data and then run the model directly from the tabular view. See Edit Tabular Input Data

Row number eight contains the header information. The first five columns in this row contain the weather data used for the emergence forecasts: Date, Minimum Temperature, Maximum Temperature, Soil Temperature, and Rainfall. Soil Temperature is a value that is calculated internally by WeedCast.

Tabular Weather Data

Tip: Weather data and emergence calculations can easily be updated from the Tabular Output View. See Edit Tabular Weather Data

The following columns in row eight contain emergence information for each of the selected weed species: Emergence Potential, Emergence Timing and Seedling Height.

Tabular Emergence Output

At this time WeedCast is unable to calculate all three types of emergence calculations for every weed species. A "NA"will be placed in the data field for calculations that are not available. "MI" will be entered if there is missing input that is needed to complete the calculation. This generally occurs when the site properties are not completely filled in.
