Welcome to WeedCast Version 4.0.16

WeedCast is a decision aid tool that enables you to forecast seedling emergence and growth of common annual weeds found in the North Central region of the United States. The predictions made by WeedCast should be used as a general guide to assist you in making weed management decisions. Please read, "What can WeedCast do for me", for an example of how WeedCast can aid you in the weed management process.

WeedCast reflects our best estimates based on the current knowledge of weed biology. Weed research is on-going to further our understanding of weed biology . Future versions of WeedCast will incorporate the results from these studies allowing us to expand and improve WeedCast. You may check our web sites at www.morris.ars.usda.gov and www.weedcast.net periodically for new versions of WeedCast and accompanying documentation.

In order for us to make enhancements and additions to WeedCast we need your feedback! User input will be a driving force for future versions of WeedCast so please take the time to contact us with feedback .

Funding for WeedCast came from the Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) and from Minnesota's Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI). The research and development process for WeedCast was conducted as a cooperative effort between USDA-ARS and University of Minnesota. Weed biology information used to develop WeedCast was obtained from published and unpublished databases provided by scientists from USDA-ARS and the State Agricultural Experiment Stations across the Corn Belt of the United States.

USDA-ARS is not liable for any damages resulting from the use or misuse of WeedCast, its output, and its accompanying documentation.
