Hydrotherapy at Home Post 2
Posted on October 4th, 2011 No commentsLike the cold-sock treatment, the second regimen is an excellent method of kick-starting the immune system to fight off any illness you might feel coming on or actually be in the midst of. Unlike the cold-sock treatment, this is a therapeutic application difficult to apply to yourself. It is a very powerful adjunct to any healing program. It is somewhat complicated, but well worth the trouble. Read the rest of this entry »

What Herbs Can Do For Your Weight Loss Post 2
Posted on August 18th, 2011 No commentsDexatrim, Dexadrine: Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is basically a diet pill that has no herbal component, but I thought a little insight into this wonder would be helpful, too. I don’t have to tell you about the “high” you can get on these. I couldn’t deal with it. I had the funniest feeling as if I had chills on the side of my head; I had some low back pain and a headache with this little wonder. I felt very stupid for trying it, but I had to know. What Herbs Can Do For Your Weight Loss Post 1
Posted on August 8th, 2011 No commentsHerbal supplements have been touted as a great way to ‘burn fat,’ ‘burn calories,’ and ‘reduce cellulite.’ I have tried most herbal weight loss supplements on the market. Here is my journal of sort, about each supplement and what it did for me.
I do not endorse or deny the benefits of any of these products. This is how they affected me when I took them. To understand a little about me, I am about 7 or 8 pounds overweight, I am 35 years old, I have an extremely sedentary job, and am not fond of exercise. The reason I tried these pills was to lose weight without too much personal effort from little old me!! The results will vary from person to person, so you may have had a very positive response with these supplements. This is only a guide, it can help you if you are seeking an herb to try and are too confused by all of the many, many combinations on the market. Read the rest of this entry »

History of Oral Contraceptives Post 2
Posted on August 1st, 2011 No commentsThe modern-day contraceptive has its roots in the science of endocrinology, which has provided the understanding of the human ovulatory cycle and thus help develop effective contraception. In order to be fertilized, an ovum must first mature while still within its ovarian follicle. Its maturation is prompted by the release of follicle-stimulating hormone from the anterior pituitary gland. The release of this hormone is inhibited when the concentration of the estrogenic hormones, which modulates phases of the menstrual cycle, rises in the blood. Thus modern oral contraceptives inhibit the maturation of the follicles and their ova, so that fertilization can’t occur, by keeping estrogen concentrations in the blood at relatively high levels. History of Oral Contraceptives Post 1
Posted on July 25th, 2011 No commentsWriters and physicians of days gone by did not understand conception as we do. A Pediatric Case Post 2
Posted on July 18th, 2011 No commentsFamily history: His father was adopted, so no family medical history is known. The mother’s father has a cardiac history. Her mother has diabetes. Eric’s nose runs all the time and he had earaches as an infant. He wants to rock his sister and sing to her and can be very sweet with her. At times he wants to help mom when she is cooking a meal and gets upset if he isn’t allowed to help. He craves sweets and meat. He eats all kinds of fruits and likes pickles. When I later questioned his mom about fruits in particular, she said her favorite fruit was oranges but didn’t know what kind of fruit he liked best. I prescribed Medorrhinum 30C.
